QoS-Driven Load Balancing in Hybrid LiFi and WiFi Networks

چکیده
This work studies the quality of service (QoS) performance wireless networks that integrate light fidelity (LiFi) and (WiFi). While hybrid network is potential for improving capacity, load balancing becomes essential challenging due to nature heterogeneous access points (APs). A number have been conducted address this issue, focusing on maximising capacity with user fairness constraints. However, in practice, QoS metrics including packet loss ratio latency are important services. In paper, QoS-driven studied LiFi WiFi (HLWNets) two scenarios: single-AP association (SA) multi-AP (MA). each case, an optimisation problem formulated minimise latency, a low-complexity iterative algorithm proposed solve problem. Results show novel methods, especially MA, can effectively balance traffic loads among APs improve performance. addition, more subflows better MA provides. Targeting same level QoS, achieve system throughput up 160% higher than signal strength strategy 130% proportional balancing.

Delay Analysis of Hybrid WiFi-LiFi System
Heterogeneous wireless networks are capable of effectively leveraging different access technologies to provide a wide variety of coverage areas. In this paper, the coexistence of WiFi and visible light communication (VLC) is investigated as a paradigm. The delay of two configurations of such heterogeneous system has been evaluated. In the first configuration, the non-aggregated system, any requ...
متن کاملValue driven load balancing
To date, the study of dispatching or load balancing in server farms has primarily focused on the minimization ofresponse time. Server farms are typically modeled by a front-end router that employs a dispatching policy to routejobs to one of several servers, with each server scheduling all the jobs in its queue via Processor-Sharing. However, the common assumption has been that al...
متن کاملThreshold Load Balancing in Networks
We study probabilistic protocols for concurrent threshold-based load balancing in networks. There are n resources or machines represented by nodes in an undirected graph and m ≫ n users that try to find an acceptable resource by moving along the edges of the graph. Users accept a resource if the load is below a threshold. Such thresholds have an intuitive meaning, e.g., as deadlines in a machin...

This paper presents a review of QoS (Quality of Service) Routing algorithms and Load Balancing Techniques in MPLS Networks. MPLS has high lightened as the most promising technology for the internet to provide the speed and bandwidth guaranteed services. It is good to apply MPLS in an internet environment to make it efficient and get more customer satisfaction while using internet. In this paper...
متن کاملSupporting QoS routing in mobile ad hoc networks using probabilistic locality and load balancing
Harnessing the time varying topological aspect of mobile ad hoc networks so as to support Quality of Service (QoS) measures is a challenging problem. In this paper we develop and investigate the use of a simple spatial probabilistic locality model to enhance the performance of current on-demand routing algorithms. To explore the applicability of our approach, we examine two basic routing proble...
